I have been drawing since I was a tiny girl, with pencil in hand I would find whatever I could to use it on. Initially it was a matter of taking books off my parents’ shelves and drawing all over the pages. They soon had me trade up to actual drawing paper, and I was off! Drawing was something I took for granted, as essential as breathing. Sixty-plus years of creating, with periods of self doubt, then fully embracing this part of myself have brought me to this extraordinary place of artistic enlightenment. Not total, I-know-what-I’m-doing-now enlightenment, just a sense of joy in the process, knowing I’ve got a few years left to explore and create.
